‘Mud’ is an anthem against drug addiction, highlighting some of the struggles that so many people battle with in their continued fight to overcome a life as an addict. Kenneth Fisher fought against his own drug induced demons for years until it almost destroyed his life. ‘ Mud’ is his lyrical tribute to the awakening he had when he realized he had been worshiping the God of Drugs.
A Northwest radio station contacted the management of element66 after they had received the press kit from ‘The Dysprosium Collection’ release. The station wanted to promote song three, ‘Mud’, from this 25-song collection. With the spotlight on ‘Mud’, Chad Hamlin and Kenneth Fisher decided it was time to release Mud as one of the first element66 singles.
