‘Resonance’ can be felt in the vibrations that surround us. ‘Resonance’, is also the name of one of the most influential releases by element66. Originally released as song number two on ‘The Dysprosium Collection‘. ‘Resonance’ started getting heavy radio play in 2013 after a radio deejay told an intriguing story about how Chad Hamlin and Kenneth Fisher recorded the song while incarcerated at the Oregon State Penitentiary.
In a 2013 interview, Chad Hamlin explained that he had created the beat and synth recording for ‘Resonance’ as a quirky little piece of music while he was developing a customized ring tone for one of his friends that had just gotten out of prison.
Chad went on to say that while he was creating this goofy beat with it’s strange, modulated synth lines that weaved between the grooves, Kenny jumped in and started flowing some of the most prolific catchy lyrics he had ever heard. It didn’t take long to realize that the song was meant to be as it took on a life of it’s own. After only one recording session ‘Resonance’ was ready to be added to ‘The Dysprosium Collection‘ for release. Shortly after the press kits were sent out, element66 was told by their management that ‘Resonance’ had been picked up by radio stations and needed to be released as a single, and the rest is history.
There is something out there larger than ourselves, it’s something all of us know in the center of our conscience, in the middle of our soul. Resonance is the key to reality; we vibrate space in the way we want to be.
