Witch Hunt - Album Released February 14, 2019

‘Witch Hunt’ comes to the surface as a Valentine’s Day release, but it isn’t the typical collection of love songs that you would expect to turn up on this romantic holiday. It is a disturbing six-song collection that explores the loss of rational thought stemming from the all-consuming power of love and the heartbreak that usually follows in its wake.As always, Chad Hamlin and Erik Libbert have unleashed something as completely original as it is unusual.

Dead Inside

Dead Inside

I can hear the voices

As they tear through my mind

Whispering through shadows

That I am dead inside

I’ve become the spider

You’re like a fly

Tangled and struggling

Trapped in my web of lies

Can you see the sickness

Burning in my eyes?

There’s no cure for this affliction

I’m already dead inside

Can’t you see that I’m dead inside?

I can hear the voices

As they tear through my mind

Whispering through shadows

That I am dead inside

I’ve become the spider

You’re like a fly

Tangled in my web

As I bleed you dry

Can you see the sickness

Burning in my eyes?

There’s no cure for this affliction

I’m already dead inside

When you look into my eyes

Can’t you see that I’m dead inside?

I can’t stand all you people

Your tweeting on Twitter

You Instagram-slamming, Facetiming quitters

I can’t help but think about pounding you

But I know that you’ll be wishing you could #Metoo

I’ve got one in the chamber

Two minutes to do it

I’m a three-way killer, I’ll

Load, cock it, and pull it

For the five billion people

Who don’t seem to get it

I’m so sick six sick of you

Ah, nah, forget it

You’re a number in the machine

You’re a number in the machine

I can’t help but despise all the faceless disguises

Everyone is hiding behind all the lies

This is for all of the people across every nation

Who can’t formulate a sentence without abbreviations

I’ve got one idea,

To solve the problem

Sending three hundred atoms

To fall from the heavens

For a whole lotta sinners who

High five and manage

To ignore you’re responsible,

Here comes the damage

You’re a number in the machine

You’re a number in the machine

You’re all numbers

You’re all numbers

You’re all numbers

In the machine

I can’t take these disgraces

With phones in their faces

Hypocritical masses, a war of the races

All these fakesbook fair-weather friends

Who’ve resorted to a life of pretending

They’re all so important

You’re the ones who’ve made it so

Too many I know are now

Three times more likely of

Suicidal actions,

For all the rich getting

Five dollars richer

Every six sick seconds

You all get the picture

You’re the numbers in the machine

You’re the numbers in the machine

You’re the numbers in the machine

Six Seasons Below

Six Seasons Below

Lyrics By:

Erik Libbert

Music By:

Pain born of

What once was bliss

Six seasons

In the abyss

My love for you was all-consuming

You had me under your spell

But this obsession drove me crazy

And my life became a living hell

The things that I did for love

The crimes that I’m guilty of

Now that you are gone

Love’s spell is broken

But it’s far too late

The damage done

Trapped in

This hell

I burn alone

My love for you was all-consuming

You had me under your spell

But this obsession drove me crazy

And my life became a living hell

The things that I did for love

The crimes that I’m guilty of

You put me away

Wiped from existence

Now your time is up

I’m coming home

No more

Will I

Suffer alone

Six long

Seasons

I’ve spent below

Now you’ll

Pay for

What I went through

The Blue

The Blue

Lyrics By:

Erik Libbert

Music By:

There was a time

Not long ago

When life felt like a dream

The love we shared

Just you and I

Made me feel so complete

But like so many things

In life

It never stood a chance

As love decays

The Blue descends

To wash away the past

All that I knew was shattered

When you betrayed my trust

What do I have to live for?

Around me dreams turn to dust

I placed you before the others

You replaced me with another

In the past when I felt low

You’re the one I’d turn to

Now that you’ve abandoned me

Alone I slip into the Blue

Tied to my memories of you

Drowning I sink into the Blue

Sinking into depression

Sorrow it’s closing in

Darkness slowly consumes me

When will this suffering end?

I placed you before the others

You replaced me with another

In the past when I felt low

You’re the one I’d turn to

Now that you’ve abandoned me

Alone I slip into the Blue

Tied to my memories of you

Drowning I sink into the Blue

The day you left

Dark clouds rolled in

My happiness destroyed

These bitter tears

My epitaph

I plunged into the void

Purged of all emotion

There’s just

One thing left to do:

Embrace eternal darkness

In the

Suffocating Blue

A Trial By Water - A Trial By Fire

A Trial By Water – A Trial By Fire

All things dead will rise again

When twilight’s blanket falls

Unless we flush these witches out

And burn them one and all

Salem’s women have

Signed a blood-pact

To break this spell of evil

We must now act

I know she’s a witch

She tried to put a spell on me

She’s a God-damned witch

She’ll burn eternally

It’s a witch-hunt

In the name of God

We’ll flush this evil out

Could it be your daughter?

Is it your wife?

Mass hysteria’s spreading

The accusations fly

I know she’s a witch

She tried to put a spell on me

She’s a God-damned witch

She’ll burn eternally

It’s a witch-hunt

In the name of God

We’ll track this evil down

Witch bewitched

We’ll burn you alive

Witch bewitched

You’ll meet your demise

Maybe through prayer we’ll

Find a cure

Trials by water and fire will

Cleanse the impure

I know she’s a witch

She tried to put a spell on me

She’s a God-damned witch

She’ll burn eternally

It’s a witch-hunt

In the name of God

We’ll burn them to the ground

If she sinks then her

Soul is saved

If she floats she will

Feed the flames

Somebody That I Used To Know (We'll Meet Again in Hell)

Somebody That I Used To Know (We’ll Meet Again In  Hell)

Lyrics By:

Erik Libbert

Music By:

Chad Hamlin & Erik Libbert

It hurts to think about the time we were together

But painful memories remind me I’m alive

That’s not a place in which I wish to dwell

I like to think we’ll meet again in Hell

Thoughts like this are all I have to keep me going

We fell apart when I forgot what made you happy

What gave you the right to crucify me for my sins?

If I had known that it would end this way

I would have never let you walk away

You’d be gone and I’d be trapped in here forever

You robbed me of what mattered most

You took what I still loved and you

Used it as a weapon

That was unforgivable

How could you try to hurt me

With the ones we love?

And the way that you turned on me

I hate you for the lies you told

And the years they’ve cost me

I can’t believe you’d stoop so low

Now you’re just somebody that I used to know

Now you’re just somebody that I used to know

Now you’re just somebody that I used to know

In your version of events I was a monster

You’ve convinced yourself these lies are a reality

Now, over time that’s what I’ve come to be

It’s like a self-fulfilling prophecy

You’ll understand the pain you’ve caused before it’s over

You robbed me of what mattered most

You took what I still loved and you

Used it as a weapon

That was unforgivable

How could you try to hurt me

With the ones we love?

And the way that you turned on me

I hate you for the lies you told

And the years they’ve cost me

I can’t believe you’d stoop so low

Now you’re just somebody that I used to know

Now you’re just somebody that I used to know

Now you’re just somebody that I used to know
